ECO Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the FCSS Early Completion Option. Eligible candidates will participate in an application process that will determine the final recommendation. To be determined eligible and start the application process, you will need to review the following brief overview and then complete and submit information about your teaching experience on the provided Teaching Experience form linked below.
All details about the application process will be provided at the ECO Mandatory Informational Meeting and additional application materials will be released following your participation in the meeting.
Getting Started:
- Teaching Experience Form
- Complete and submit the Teaching Experience form to Denise Guerrero, dguerrero@fcoe.org prior to the September 30th submission deadline.
- Once reviewed by the ECO Panel, you will be notified if you are eligible to continue with the application process. Please note: This is the first step in the application process. If you are determined to be eligible to continue with the application process, you will receive information to attend a Mandatory ECO Informational Meeting.
Additional Application Materials (shared at the informational meeting):
- Participation in a Mandatory ECO Informational Meeting
- Reflections on identified CSTPs
- Submission of a signed formal evaluation (must be within the last 2 years and signed and dated by the evaluator)
- An observation conducted by Induction staff, including submission of a formal lesson plan of the lesson to be observed
- Administrator Recommendation - Once all application materials are submitted, Induction staff will provide the recommendation form directly to the current administrator and the administrator will submit the form directly back to Denise Guerrero
- Signed responsibilities specifically outlined for ECO candidates
Once your completed application materials have been submitted and reviewed, your lesson observation(s) has been conducted and the ECO Panel has the necessary evidence collected to make a recommendation, you will be notified if your application has been approved for the one-year program or if you have been recommended to continue in the two-year program. This recommendation will likely be announced late in the Spring Semester.
